CPR Class Information

Background

The UVA Office of Safety and Emergency Preparedness is pleased to offer American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR/AED certification courses to official UVA departments, officers, or groups. This course is offered at a greatly reduced cost from what is found in the community. It is suggested that every building equipped with an AED have at least 5 staff members trained in CPR/AED use.

Course Information

Certifying Body: American Heart Association

Course Name: HeartSaver Adult CPR/AED

Course Length: 2 hours

Participants: Ideal class size is 4-8 participants. Strict maximum of 10 participants per class (due to AHA guidelines)

Location: OSEP staff comes to your building/site. A large room with space on tables and/or the floor along with A/V capability is required. 

Course Cost: $18 per participant

Scheduling and Payment

Courses may be scheduled by filling out this form, or by emailing the PAD Program Coordinator. At least two (2) weeks notice is required. Payment must be made via departmental cost transfer (PTAO) and is due after the course is conducted (based on the number of participants completing the course)
