The University’s Security and General Safety Committee conducted its Spring Night Tour on March 7 (postponed from February 28). During the Night Tour, committee members walked areas of Grounds in darkness to assess safety conditions in various facilities of the University. The Committee particularly targeted lighting and physical infrastructure hazards, such as sidewalks and curb drops on its tour. At subsequent meetings, the Committee will discuss details related to it findings and will prioritize projects for funding.
Anyone with a timely concern related to infrastructure safety can always report a hazard to the Office of Safety and Emergency Preparedness (OSEP) through “Click to Report a Safety Hazard” or by calling 434 982 0565 or writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
