In response to the spread of the coronavirus nationally and in Virginia, UVA will not hold classes on Grounds for the foreseeable future. Students should return home or remain at home if they are already there. Online classes will begin Thursday, March 19.

Other changes include

  • The University is suspending University-sponsored events that involve more than 100 people.
  • All UVA Athletics activities, including practice and competition, have been suspended until further notice.
  • Many services -- including Dining, University Transit, IM-Rec facilities, and libraries -- will be scaled back. Check the Operations Status Board for updates.

UVA Health remains open and patient care is being provided as usual.

More information is available at www.virginia.edu/coronavirus. The University has also set up a Response Line and Call Center for questions by email at covidinformation@virginia.edu and by phone (877-685-4836 for domestic calls and +1 202 800-2408 for international calls).
